oh no CuCullin you misunderstood me...I wasn't trying to be meanspirited...promise
But I think I found someone....I was getting off the train this evening and saw a man that had paint on his clothing etc. So I asked him if he was a painter & he said yes blah blah. As I am also looking for painters...I decided to take his card and have him come over later and provide a quote. Well walked to the parking lot and his wife was waiting for him. She had on a marriot shirt so I asked her was she did....Her response HouseKeeping. So I may just be closer to getting my housekeeper. yippeee
I am looking for a housekeeper that will come in once a week. Ideally, the person will live in the Elizabeth, Union area. TIA
When looking for a cleaning service, you need to figure out if you want them to use your stuff or if you want them bringing cleaners in.
I used to work for a "maids" chain (not the one linked)
After being there a month or so, I had to quit.
We were given a certain number of rags per day, meaning if you were the 1st house on the list, you'd probably get clean rags, but if you were last, there's a good chance the rags were used on someone else's toilet.
They didn't tell us what cleaners were in the spray bottles. We had one that was some type of wood polish, another for glass and a 3rd general cleaner. You were supposed to use a certain colored rag for polish, we weren't given many of those (polish rag) per day, so those were reused in more then one house. Between the red dye in the polish rags and the polish cleaner, my hands were chemically burned. Can you imagine, if it burned my hands what it does to your furniture? We were not given gloves. They also didn't give us a toilet cleaner so it's possible that if the person was out of general cleaning solution, glass cleaner was used or nothing but a brush. I don't recall if we were given a comet type cleaner.
The vac's were cr@p. We were lucky if they worked right.
