So far, so good - we're set to close on October 15 - keeping fingers and toes crossed. We've been looking for house rentals - what a horror show! I cannot believe how people live - homes that were filthy - bathrooms moldy, disgusting carpeting - the first day we went out to look, I was in tears when we came home. Our realtor has been great - went out today for the 3rd time and found a beauty - totally redone home - new kitchen, bathrooms, freshly painted - nice hardwood floors. Now we're waiting to see if the owner will lease to us with a contingency (we want an opt-out if our house doesn't close). This whole process has been incredibly stressful - at times have wondered if we'll end up homeless! Anyway, I guess we all get through this in the end.
middlesex county - crazy i agree
the our realtor tells us that there is another offer that came in this weekend and they just as flexible and are putting down about the same amount, so is that our best offer.
well do me a favor..string them along for a bit - just in case they are looking at the same house I am looking at
She can't make the move to Georgia, last i heard there was no gas available for the move.
Temporary situation that seems to have started to resolve itself- as of this afternoon, I saw gas at 2-3 times the number of stations I'd been seeing, and it only took me 2 minutes to get to a pump. I'm thinking everything should be back to normal within a week- in plenty of time for Wiley to make the move that she really wants to make...
Seriously, my cousin in SC had to go to 5 gas stations on Sunday before she found one that had any gas. It's almost $6 per gallon there.
Ouch. GA put some anti-gouging regs in place as soon as this happened- gas here is running right around $3.95/gallon, which is about the peak it was at during the run-ups of a few months ago.

Personally, I think God was trying to tell her she shouldn't move to GA. As soon as she stated NJ's where she's gonna stay...BOOM! She sells.
