Correct Bob - I pay 1100 per month (not including utilities) for a 1 bedroom here in a nice homey close knit community. (north eastern of LA County close to the mountains)

I've never been a city girl

Thanks, I did NOT know that. I knew LA was crowded, of course, but I thought there was more open area.

I haven't ever been out to LA, obviously. But I have seen the traffic on the freeways on the news and it looks pretty bad, and I don't think the LA area is up to date as far as public transportation goes.

Job market is not great at all, just like the rest of the country. I agree with the other folks, research it well before you decide to come. Monster is the best site for Jersey job hunting. Good luck, I hope you can make it happen!

Thanks for the information though, I will keep my fingers crossed.

Good luck. It might take a while (or it might not!) but if you keep on looking you are bound to find something that works for you all around.

Try job.com, they give you a lot more options than careerbuilder and don't charge to distribute your resume`.
