That place is a prison. Actually, it's quite eerie. It's an accident waiting to happen. There were tours going through there every so often, but I think they stopped it. I try to keep out of there as much as possible...

You keep out of there, and I want to go in there. The pipes, the valves, the tanks, the wires, the substations, the controls, the towers, it's amazing! I love this sort of thing. And somebody understands how the whole thing works. And someone knows how to fix it when it breaks. I think it is a marvelous piece of architecture. I like it better than the Statue of Liberty.

Well you can hop a Train to Newark Penn form Rahway and go to the numerous Sport bars & Restaurants in the Ironbound. BTW that refinery looks like something out of Scifi movie at night.

Whenever I'm down visiting fam in SoJers or PA and I see the big tower tubes emitting some kind of smoke and making the dark night sky orange and yellow I know I'm almost home

PS, isn't Rahway prison where they filmed "Scared Straight"?

Yes it is. They also filmed parts of Hurricane there, a good friend of mine is a CO there and was actually an extra in it.

And the prison is in Woodbridge, not Rahway. I feel the need to set the record straight for my old hometown .

The Shannon Rose Irish Pud. It's in the Shop Rite Shopping Center on St. George Ave (aka Rt. 35) in Woodbridge.

I know there are a few good ones around the Rock but I wouldn't go there after a game. Scully's in Downtown Newark is a Devils bar (and was once a frequent of this poster). I can't recomend a specific one but I know there are tons of sports bars all over Jersey.
