It might be more pricey than the 20 bucks a month gyms (I'm not sure how much it is these days...prob in $30-40 per month range).
That gym is terrible! I went in there for a tour one night and was amazed that they actually bill a large room with a flat screen tv and a DVD player as a "virtual class room" the virtual classes being you following a video. If I wanted to do that I could do it at home!!
BUT it made me remember another gym in Lyndhurst--Spa Lady, I have no idea how much it costs but it's all women and is a real gym not a curves type thing.

It's both a nice & quietly popular gym, in an area with many, many gym choices. I didn't just take a single tour, but was a member for 5 years.
But with gyms, some people love this & hate that, while others hate that and love this, so I understand it didn't appeal to you - truth is, no gym has got everything for everyone.
Thanks everyone. I checked Club Metro USA and was surprised by how clean and nice it looks. There was also a children's room where you can drop off your kids for babysitting at an extra $10/mo. That's not bad considering it cost $10/hr. or more for babysitting service!
The only thing I didn't like was the initiation fee of $100 or so. The sales guy was willing to knock off half the cost but honestly, when you're paying $20/mo. why is the initiation fee that high? That's the cost of 5 months right there. :P
You could try Ultra Fitness Center 201-964-0013 in Lyndhurst their website is ultrafitnesscenter.com it is an amazing gym check out the website it pretty much shows everything they have & it is a womens only gym & is extremely well kept & CLEAN..
