I am very far from being anti-gun, but I AM anti-BS. They're weapons, pure and simple.

Sure, they're weapons. Were they meant to be anything else?
"Weapon" is just a special name for a special kind of tool DESIGNED to kill people.
They are lifeless implements made of metal that require a USER to actually hurt anyone.
They don't just walk around, going off by themselves.
