I doubt it's loud. It's a new building. U probably can't hear a thing till u open a window.
The only bad part is the area is not fully built up yet. Oh, and the section 8 projects are a block from the building, so u might get attacked or raped if you walk down that direction away from the 7 train.
I'm still in a lease and I am borderline LIC. Rent is just insane in NYC these days. As I mentioned, if they take their time processing or selecting me...I am fine with it. If anyone is looking 2 rent in Queens and u find out the management of the building is being handled by AZ Realty/Cooper Union.....do yourself a favor and run. They are the worst!

I have taken the F right on 21st all these days and havent seen anything wrong. Taken the train at different times, last friday got home at 3 am and nothing.
Not bad, i hardly hear any noise the windows seem to be sound proof as i only hear something if it is extremely loud.
Thanks so much for the information! Trying to get a sense of the noise, how everything is the apartment functions. I'm most concerned about having to pay for heat in the winter and if the management company is good, i.e. are they attentive when something needs to be fixed.
Are the apartments big and luxurious with all high end finishes or is it low grade since this was a city project?
I didn't feel safe walking around the area.
Why did you applied? Why did you take the place of someone that was really needing an apartment? The address was disclosed since the advertising, you could have done a research before applying. Instead of wasting someones time and yours

I'm like every other working class person in NY where I pay bills, rent and have a roof over my head. Why are you giving me attitude for having a lease?
I'm not some low class person who begs 2 stay at a friends apartment and never having anything of my own or popping out 5 kids out of wedlock asking for food stamps. Maybe that's the situation your in?
I applied because I know these things take forever and I thought it would be great and I never expected to even get a notification back. I don't understand your comment about taking the place of someone else needing an apartment?
Everyone who applied doesn't need an apartment cause everyone who applied knows this process doesn't take 2 days. Everyone that applied is renting a place of their own and hoping they can eventually get a nice place at an affordable price with nice amenities that a hotel offers in the event they'll never save enough money to buy a condo or house of their own in their lifetime.
Remember, middle class doesn't exist in NY. One is either destitute or a high powered executive living on Central Park, so shut your useless trap!!!!
It's a shame they picked u Sracastillo because clearly u didn't need a place 2 live since this process took months and u must have been homeless for those long months when they were processing your application, right?
Got it mee ho or amigo? Santo cielos!!!! Haye mida que linda!
I'm glad for everyone who got an apartment through this lottery. It's about time something good happened for the middle class people of NY. We always seem to be the ones that suffer.
