After all this time stringing me along, 2 months to be exact, my interviewer just this minute told me that my preference has been filled and I am with the regular pool. He didn't offer up this info either. No, I had to directly ask. So my odds of receiving an apartment reduced dramatically and he never considered this helpful info. I am SO upset and over this bs. Screw k and r. I'm writing some formal letters about this shoddy realty to whomever.

oh no! I am sorry you had to hear this bad news. That is not fair, you have given everything they have asked for, and have been waiting for over a month. Don't think that your chance is gone though. Much of the building is still under construction so you still have a chance. Missy, did you receive a separate packet to fill out and/or received a unit before being sent to the city for approval?Just curious

has anyone else been contacted? I guess this week they will contact all those on waiting for city approval. Again I am sorry you didnt hear positive results. Hopefully some of us here get lucky.

Yes, at the time of the interview they had me complete additional documents. I was then approved by the building owners before being forwarded to the city. He told me 5 business days and then after that, that my preference was on hold. I'm over waiting in vain for this place.

Good luck to you all!

@Joyero - Are you waiting for city approval ? If so how long have you been waiting ? What size apt are you looking for and who is your Interviewer ?

I am also waiting for city approval. Two bedrooms and I fall at 60% income range. I was contacted about two weeks for additional bank statements, which I provided. Then I was contacted end of last week and had to fill out more paperwork. I was told I was approved by developer and will be sent to city for approval. I was told five business days so for now it's still pending.

I won't say my interviewer's name because I am sure the city reads these forums. But I will say this, their profesionalism towards my case has been incredible. I am surprised you guys are going through this. I have never had to follow up since my interview. I have been kept in the loop this whole time and weekly I have been contacted. I have been both called and emailed and it's being handled professionally and on time.

I am really curious on when unit selection is. Is it before or after city approval? Anyone with past experiences have been able to choose from various units? As I said before, friday i drove by and would rather be able to select a unit to my liking than to be given something you may not like. Then again, you will never be able to get an apartment in NYC unless it's through a lottery.

I too am awaiting city approval. I was informed my application was re submitted to the city February 24th and I would get their decision within 5 business days. It has now been 10 business days.

My Interviewer has been extremely nice and professional, however, she never really has any news to tell me other than still awaiting city approval which is beginning to frustrate me.

Good Luck to you and hopefully we will be neighbors.

hmm, okay. I guess we are still waiting. Do you guys feel it means something if you were given a unit, and then sent to city for approval?

@sancocho, well what I mean is, if you are assigned a unit, does it mean that you are good to go. I does not matter the lay out. I could be facing the alley for all i care. I just mean if you are assigned a unit, does it means, congrats you got it. But you still have to wait for city approval...

I mean, why assign a unit if you can potentially get denied right?
