The process is long and drawn out. (Comparing to other interviews I have had). I was contacted in May. I went through the interview, appealed 2 denials, I am now scheduled for the last leg "certification" where I pay for the credit check they did a month ago. I'm on hold because I am disputing my income which places me in a unit I don't want.

Hi, first time posting here. I was called in for my first interview for 33 bond street in early June and I was approved by late July (I was even assigned an apartment although I didn't get to see it). The entire process was surprisingly pretty easy and quick, however now my application has been sent over to HPD for verification. The leasing agent said it would only take one week for HPD approval but it's been three weeks of waiting with no answer. The suspense of waiting is the worst part. I'm self employed as a driver and I had to submit an estimate of my projected income for this year as I did not make enough last year and wondering if that's what's holding up my approval. I've read of other people having to wait a long time for approval as well so I'm trying not to panic, lol.

Have you heard from HPD yet? My file was sent to HPD July 31, and I am still waiting as well.
Just came back from my interview, it was bittersweet as i expected. Apparently after my income was calculated I wasn’t eligible for the 2 bed $29,452-30,560. However I’m eligible for the onebedroom for 2,091 because I do have hpd section 8 so she said with my income i can pay the difference. She gave me some forms to fill out that I must get notorized and said if we get to your log number you’ll hear from us whatever that means. Nevertheless i applied to various buildings fingers crossed if this one doesn’t work out another will. Back to work bye folks and good luck
I’m a single person household I make about 30000 Am I eligible for the one bedroom ? Goin to interview wednesday
