But... how can they calculate income three ways? Let's say a person's salary is 40,000 per year. No matter how they calculate it, a person doesn't magically make more than their income. What gives?

I know the two ways they calculated my income at the interview, he got two different amounts. He said they take the highest which luckily was still in range. I always thought a salary was salary, 1 way to calculate.
Yeah. That makes NO sense. If your salary is your salary and you don't have overtime.. what do they do? Invent numbers? Do they take your post tax salary and use that?
I didn't even see what methods he used. He just went on the calculator and showed me two salaries and they both met. There was about $1000 difference between the two. Nothing about this process is clear. More than two months since my initial interview and no word.
I know. Theres nothing for the middle. Either really low or really high
Thats some bull!
So If im a couple hundred under the minimum 120 AMI, IF I apply and IF I got a good log # would they call me or would they just look at the ranges and disqualify me?

If you don't meet the income and they reach your log they automatically send you a denial without an interview. That happened to my fiance with The apts on Kent because they randomly changed the guidelines to something much different than whats posted on housing connect.
