That’s awesome! Do the windows come with blinds or do you have to get your own?

We got an email about the next one today. It will be held on September 14, rain or shine. Looks like you can't have a table until you move in. From the email:
  • Supply your own table (6 feet or under).
  • Each space is approximately 7 feet wide.
  • Setup can start at 9am.
  • Only Penn South cooperators are eligible to rent spots. Limit: two spots per household.
  • You are responsible for your own clean-up. (Unsold items should be bagged and will be collected by Penn South Maintenance for disposal.)
Hopefully you are in before then!

Thanks, Incog79! It's so hard to tell when they will send that letter. I was feeling pretty optimistic when I saw the posts from other studio waitlisters who are fewer than 20 spots ahead of me, but I just checked the waitlist and it's returned to the 11/01/18 numbers. Last week the list had moved about 45 spots, but now it shows the same numbers as before. I'm confused.

Thanks again!

Hi everyone!
I also went on my interview for this building at the beginning of April. I am still waiting for an approval. I called today and was told that my application was being processed. My log is in the 2000’s and I have CB preference. Good luck to everyone! I will update when I hear something back.

Hey everyone!

Congrats to those who've already moved in, or at least are far along in the process. For those who have already interviewed, I had a question about the "Letter from all former employers in the current year and prior year, stating last date of employment". Do you know if that is a specific document, or can legitimately just be a letter signed by someone? My employers are relatively big companies so I'm not sure how fast a turnaround that is.

Thanks in advance!

Great news on the interview! Yeah it needs to be a letter from HR sent third party to breaking ground and its to the person who interviewed you. I brought in a copy during the interview and she told me it needs to be sent third party meaning directly to them from the company. My employer then emailed her the same letter via email and it was fine.
The letter can just a simple letter stating your last date of employment with the HR persons signature/name.

They will eventually do a separate verification which includes their form that has more detailed info to be filled out by HR but it will be sent directly to the company from breaking ground (you provide all the contact info during interview)

Update: After a few hectic weeks, we finally closed today!!! It was quick and Carmen was so so very organized and helpful.
We are set to move in within 3 months. We stopped by to check the apartment after closing and the condition of the studio is PERFECT!! They installed new bathroom tiles, medicine cabinet, shower head, toilet and toilet seats...all brand new. Kitchen floor is in and closets doors, door knobs, ceiling lights..etc ALL NEW! Only the bathtub, kitchen cabinets and shelves inside the closets are old but freshly painted and clean. Even the parquet floor are sanded and refinished. We are so happy. Can't wait to move in.

Keep your fingers crossed and don't lose hope! Good luck to you all!

is the 3 months move in a choice? or can you move in earlier? or are you waiting for work to be done?
also how was the home check? also i remember someone saying you would have put your own kitchen tiles. is that still true?

Hi Jani
Anything else you can tell us about the unit themselves? Are kitchens/bathrooms etc similar to the market rate units?

When you signed the lease did they let you choose a move in date or did they decide one for you?

Thanks!
