Anyone have a log number for 222 E. 44th St., yet? I saw the Tenant Selection in Progress note but I didn't see a log number. That's never happened before so I'm curious (can it be so high it doesn't even register!?)
In any case, best of luck to anyone with a low number; the building looks beautiful.
I checked today and my (really high) number is up.
i've been wondering, what kind of fridge or stove does one get? i suppose it's all dependent on size. But do you think people at PS have fancy stoves (like with double ovens) and fridges (that are like internet enabled).
Where did you go for the appliances? Home Depot? PC Richards?
We also got a fridge and stove from PC Richards - they had a better selection and lower prices than the Home Depot. From what I've seen standard apartments usually only have cabinets on one wall of the kitchen (with the gas line on the bare wall), so you can put any fridge oven or range you want in there as long as it is narrow enough to get through the (normal-sized) door. We ordered a fairly large fridge and it barely fit through the front door (even with the fridge door off), so be sure to measure carefully before you buy one.
Hard to say what the "average" Penn South resident has. Given the large number of long-term residents and income limits on new cooperators, probably much less fancy than the average new apartment owner in the city, but then again considering what the apartments cost residents may have more disposable income than most people in similar tax brackets.
