@ChelseaRez, by the way, how did they clean the exterior of the bottom glass in your kitchen or where you only have a single window? Thanks

I'm wondering what this means in terms of "how close" we actually are, or if this is really not that meaningful. Like, does this mean the 2014 list not even close to being done yet? I know it's impossible to know, I'm just kind of shocked that we are as high up on the 2019 list as we are and I wonder if it means anything.
Hi lalawag77, someone else on this thread who is on the 2 bedroom list saw an apartment recently. I think they said they were like 10 or 20 on the list. I’m a bit behind you on the list. We just have to hang in there, we’ll get there eventually! Previous Penn South lotteries had much longer waits.

It's exciting to be offered an apartment. Just do not be overly eager to close.
Thanks for the information, I have to start looking for the mortgage now, so I'll try uhab since I recall there was some problems with the Penn South Credit Union earlier in the thread

Hi. I should know this because I watched him do it, but honestly, I don’t recall how he did it. Next time, I’ll be watching for sure.

Default Utilities and carry charges

I’m sure this a repeat question, but i can’t seem to find the answer. The list for 1 bedrooms seems to be moving along at a nice clip, and i am saving my down payment furiously (180s on the list right now). In an effort to figure out my monthly expense, and a particularly challenging summer electric bill, does anyone have an answer to what the average utility bills are?

My August ConEd bill for my tiny 350 sqft UWS apartment was a whopping $250, and I’m just shrugging my shoulders. I’m hoping that Penn South wil be more reasonable.

Penn South has its own power plant. The electric bill is listed on your maintenance bill. Mine was $25.84 last month. I've had months when I need neither heat nor AC and it has been around $10.00. Seriously.

Wow! That is really low. My daughter’s bill from June 24 to July 25 was $78. That is for two people in a one bedroom, both working from home most days. I think that is very reasonable, considering what AC costs.
