Crazy about the ex-partner documents.

As for me, after it was sent to compliance, it took 1 day for them to ask for additional documents and clarifications on deposits. Make sure you work on that, any deposits on your bank accounts or venmo/zelle/paypal needs a reason(lunch, borrow, whatever) doesn' need to be detailed but needs clarification. Took me 1 day to send those in and then 1 more day for compliance for approval to send.

So for me, about 2-3 days for compliance approval - but I think for whatever reason, they fast-tracked my process. Doesnt seem to be the norm after reading other people's process.

If you are looking at the building from the entrance onto the Williamsburg Bridge side, yes...lots of lights on now. Those apartments are mostly studios and 1 bedroom (cheaper) and having better views..so lots of the market rate ppl are leasing those. At most, it's just getting to 50% filled.

For BG to be requesting those documents is a good thing!

They seem to be all over the place with my case.

I provided clarifications on deposits 3 weeks ago. AND now is that they're reaching out requesting bill of sale and ex-partner letter before sending it out to compliance. I'm just hoping after this email everything goes well and fast. This process has be drained.

You we're extremely lucky with your process!

Whatever you do, don't give up. Keep emailing and calling them! It's totally worth it at the end, give it your best shot! I'm heading into my 4th month here, so worth the fight!

Hi good morning

Just wanted to follow on my process ...

Compliance didn't approve me as my W2 for 2019 was over income. I'm going to appeal as income for 2020 has changed and not due to pandemic.

I didn't know they'd used previous income to determine eligibility. I thought it was determined using current income.

That's so annoying! I hope they go with your 2020 income! I dont think they even look at the year, just whatever income proof you sent them, they go with the highest. Sound like you have a decent chance at appeal. Check with HPD, see what they say. Best of luck!

Hey there!

I've given up with Breaking Ground. This was their last response from 02/26/21:

"A determination on your application has not been made as of yet. You will be informed of such determination as soon as one has been made.

Please direct all emails directly to me. It is not necessary to email us every other day or to include Debra in the emails as she and I work closely together and are in constant and consistent communication .

Please note, there are many steps to this process, which at times takes longer than expected.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Kind Regards

Kenneth Aquilar"

This specialist got upset because i would cc'd the marketing agent, the manager and hdp to all the emails following up. But never would reply to any of them. I can almost assure you he trashed my all my paperwork at this point. You got very lucky with this agency as i've only heard horrible things about them and experienced it for myself. A couple of other developments have reached out so i haven't lost hope in winning a housing lottery.
