Hey Jane, Congrats!

They should be getting back to you by this week. Does your agent initials start VG or MG? I would continue to email them everyday - just let them know you are still very interested in the apartment. It's well worth it, the place is amazing. Although, the net market rate for the studios and 1 bedrooms are close to the "affordable" rate. But the market rate will go way up after the lease is over.

Good luck!

Thank you!

The agent is Debra Dickey. Fingers crossed she actually replies back! If not, ill will continue to email her lol. I've been waiting for this opportunity for months now. I was born and raised in Williamsburg and would love to continue living in the area. I always get called for lotteries in Bushwick and Greenpoint

Wow, born and raised in Williamsburg - it'll be so awesome for you to get it. I dealt with her before - she's one of the higher ups, so she's probably really busy. I applied for everything and was surprised to get called for Dime in Oct. I don't even remember applying for it and once I googled it, I was like WOW. I'll be moving in next week!!!

If everything is in order, you sign off on the files once it pass BG compliance and it's sent to HPD for approval.

Good for you! Congrats on the new move!

I just hope I'm as lucky as you and get approved.

I'm completely over these old pre-war buildings! I love that the process is much faster than most people say it is. I've read forums that it takes almost a year after being contacted for interview for the potential tenant to get approved and sign the lease. I'm glad you mentioned it wasn't the case for you and your process was 31 days. I'll try my very best to be patient with my agent.

Thank you for the responses!

Today i finally got a response from the agent. She emailed me the form to either consent for a credit check or provide rent receipts.Does this confirm im eligible for a unit at the Dime? Agents do not communicate much :-/

Yes. They're not supposed to run a credit check until they know there's an apartment available for you. Now I can't say no agent has ever screwed this up, but it's a very good sign.

Does anyone know whether they're offering incentives like discounted parking or waived amenity fees to prospective non-market-rate tenants?

Parking is managed by 3rd party, LAZ Parking. Discount rate for Dime residents is $180 per month(includes tax). Dime management did not offer any discounts or concessions to us. I asked and was turned down.
