Can you explain what this means? They fill the 'general population' first, then move to 'affordable'?
Thanks.
No, they do community board for the first 50% of available lottery apartments are for those who live in that CB, then the other remaining preferences. Then they go to general population which is anyone in nyc outside of the community board

Hi, do you know if the lottery is still going on for 111 Varick any updates???
My log number is 7** and I have the 5% city employee preference. Still waiting to get called.
Hi, your log# is very low. I can’t believe you haven’t got called yet plus you have city employee preference. You can call HPD to find out if they even started on city preference yet and what log number are they up to. Also you can ask if the apartment size that you’re looking for is still available. Good luck!

There are 29 units available for this listing. 5% go to city employee preference - that's 1.45 units (probably rounded up to 2 units). 7xx is a great log number, but I think it's likely that those 2 city employee units are gone before they get to Log 7xx. But there's always hope that they get to that Log# even without city preference.
We have city employee preference and I'm starting to think that it will never help us.
