That’s great you toured. Submitted docs back in April and still nothing. What did you think of the units and building in general?
What log number were you? I submitted docs early April as well but haven't heard back, but the person who was handling my case quit so I think they're trying to find a replacement.

The neighborhood is nice. I used to live in Hunter's Point South when it opened up (2015) and it's significantly changed since then. More developed, but definitely more crowded than it used to be.
The location is a bit out of the way, all the way at the tip of the creek across from Greenpoint.
It's both a pro and con:
Pro being there aren't a lot of people hanging out around/in front of your building/at the park which is a problem with HPS. Con being it's a bit more of a trek, and if you walk up 2nd St, many lots are waiting to be developed so it looks bare. Be prepared for a COLD 10-15min walk in the winters to the subway.
Also kinda funny knowing if there was a land bridge, you could hang out in Greenpoint so easily.
The building itself is relatively nice. Hallways look hotel-like and they chose to use door knockers instead of bells.
Their design is very odd though. There are walls/windows everywhere kindve obstructing views. It doesn't seem to "flow". For example, when you come in, the concierge is on the right, but on the left are the mailboxes but there's a high partition/wall blocking them making it feel very cramped.
Units are SMALL. I didn't get the measurements, but the unit I did the paperwork in (they were using this as an office) was probably under 600SqFt for a 1BR. It felt tight as soon as I walked in. The pillars along the walls kind've stick out everywhere in both the living/bedrooms reminding me of the "flow" issues in the lobby. One plus though is that A/C is central air, so no big units along the floor taking up space. If you're facing the school on the lower level, the view sucks. You see the North tower which is much larger blocking your view.
Honestly, I'm not TOO into this building. If I were offered units, I would probably only take it if it was very high up with amazing views - otherwise, not worth it if compared to the other lottery ones out there IMO.

I have similar concerns and also live in HPS area. Have you seen units in the 2 TFC buildings? Would you rather take the ones closer to Borden?
For 130 AMI the TFC ones are slightly more expensive but none of them have in unit washer and dryer. I just can't imagine having to do laundry in a building with 800 units like 5203 Center or the Gotham North Tower. Also it definitely is a long trek to the subway. Someone in the Bell Slip thread commented that they will eventually build a bridge to Greenpoint so that should be cool.

What?? TFC is asking almost $2500 ( 130 % AMI) for a one bed with no washing / dryer ? And how big is the one bed apartment?

I don't know how big the 1 beds are because TFC doesn't have any floor plans up. But none of the 4 new buildings on that block have in unit w/d, that includes Gotham North, South, 5203 and 5241 Center.
My friends live in one of TFC apartment buildings in LIC (on Center Boulevard), they rent a 1BR unit with balcony & it has in-unit W/D. They are market rate tenants & their current rent is still below $4K (when they first rented their apartment, it was less than $3K).
Has anyone else gotten any movement recently for their application for Gotham?
Nope, submitted docs back in April, no movement since submitting docs. Gonna be 4 months since I've submitted soon which means my documents expire/I need to go through the whole submittal process again, which is gonna be annoying.
