Oh man I wanted BK crossing so badly lol. I work in downtown too and lately the trains been horrible.

Are you referring to photos posted on HC website? Those aren't actually from this building. I guess when they put the lottery out they didn't have interior photos and they used photos from the building across the street, the Halo.

Oh wow, glad I didn't even bother then. That's kinda crazy!

They emailed me about a tour, so I'll try to take photos and report back! Also...am I going crazy??? I thought the Housing Connect page listed the rent for a 1BR closer to $2.1 or 2.2k, which is why I was interested in checking it out, but now I see it says $2.3k. Maybe I've been swimming in too many lottery pages, but I could have sworn it was lower lol.

Reporting back from the tour! They have two units left: a 1BR and a studio, both on the third floor. I won't be moving forward with this one, but sharing in case anyone else is interested.

Pros: Quiet street, new nice appliances, pretty spacious bathrooms, lots of closet space, the rooftop has a great view of the city, and the windows were sealed enough to where you couldn't really hear any street noise.

Cons: The gym isn't done and it's super small, no other common spaces aside from the rooftop, in the 1BR the actual room was small (a full bed would be tight and a queen would be really tight), but the living room was a good size.

Overall, I don't think it's worth the price...but not much is these days.

They still don't have an answer to why they skipped me for docs and I have followed up 3 times. So I am assuming they will be gone before they tell me the reason which I guess is okay since I am currently in a lottery apartment but it feels wrong when they don't seem to follow the rules. I had been waiting on this one for a LONG time before I even got called for my current one and thought I for sure would get one since my log was so low.

I was offered the same already with my log and I'm not sure if I'm taking it. I do want that W/D in unit though.. and it seems like rent will only go up for new developments. If someone drops out last minute I may take a higher floor but I don't know how I feel right now.

Also, yes it's kinda interesting that the units are filled already at this point because my log isn't as low as kate's but I've never seen a situation like this where the building is okay but not amazing by a longshot but how come all the units are filled before my low log?

They're doing this really fast. Anticipated move in for people is July. Literally we all applied ages ago and now they're finally open, they're rushing everyone.

Also, if anyone wants more photos, units are up on streeteasy.

It’s only 15 units total. Only one is a 2 bed. Three are studios. How many of the 15 units do you qualify for?

It is my understanding that even if it does not say so, disability preferences apply which would seem to claim two units.

Cool. Consider contacting over the heads of building management. Seems like if you have a log# under 12 they should have reached out to you.

I have reached out multiple times to reside who is handling it, to which they responded that they did not know why I was skipped since everything seemed like I should qualify. It has been pending since they requested the first round of docs from everyone else and mine never flipped to a doc request which I should have been a part of since people in the 100s+ have had doc requests without preferences and have gotten tours. I used to kind of assume the people who screamed on these message boards about being skipped did something wrong but I know the process very well and I have followed along on the message boards for 2 years now and with this it kind of is making me change my mind about that.
