so i got the apartment, its 2 BR and 1110 a month , which is nice, but when i ask the marketing, if my rent will increase if we both work (right now only my wife work thats why we got the 50% AMI bracket), she say that my rent will adjust to the income bracket whichever we fit when we renew the lease.
i thought the rent will only raise according to HPD guideline (3-5% every 1 or 2 years), not raise based on our total income at the time of recertification?

i didn't know the rent would increase either i thought the rent you sign the lease for is set except for annual ~5% increases

My marketing agent told me they use the income from when you apply, any raises or promotion do not have to even be disclosed because the apt is already yours.

Hey, I'm log 10,xxx. i was contacted last month for documents and then a week later for additional docs. Last week I was contacted to fill out affidavit confirming transactions in my bank acc. is this how your process went?

yes, more or less, the process for asking doc is back and forth until they ask u to see the apartment, thats when they asking nothing and after few week u sign the lease
