Has anyone finished the Pronto Housing document request?
Yes. Did it immediately on Friday when I got the email. Was honestly shocked when I got the email since I got a number of like 48K after turning down 7-9 30Th St.
For the record: this is the second place I've done the document request through Pronto Housing.

CB is community board preference. If you already live within the CB where the building is located, and they have CB preference, you are given preference for 50% of the units available in the lottery, this is a HUGE advantage. The idea is to reduce displacement of long-term residents of a neighborhood when new buildings are built by giving them an advantage to win a new apartment in the same neighborhood.
Is this CB preference done before or after the lottery? If i am not CB but i got contacted, do i still need to be worried about being beaten out by someone with CB preference?

No one is selected before the lottery is run. CB people are contacted in their log order, compared to other CB people until the 50% preference set-aside for CB is filled then those people are put back into the general population pool, still in log order.
That’s who emailed me too! I looked them up and it seemed to be legit and included NYC housing connect info and everything so felt like it was a safe bet. Any ideas on what this means for next steps? I’m in a really tough spot because I am supposed to sign for a new apt tomorrow but not sure what my odds are for this one. Don’t want to sign and spend all my money on the broker’s fee to then break the lease but also don’t want to risk it for the lottery Apt if there isn’t a good chance of getting it even though they asked to submit docs. Ugh
I also got an email from Pronto, I also thought it was a scam, so I called HPD offices and they told me that some developers are using this “document gathering app” to speed up the process, so I uploaded the docs yesterday
