Does anyone know if it's still under construction or has already been completed?

Hey she actually just signed her lease last Friday! and will be moving in this Friday. She got a studio and rent will be $567 . There lots of counter space, small gas stove, bathroom was nice and spacious and she has 3 closets which were pretty good to for one person

Just moved in! The building itself has finished construction, but it hasn't finished developing its extra amenities - the "gym", the outdoor children's playground, the laundry room. They're moving people in before finishing completing the building. I can't lie, I was debating against taking it because it's basically $1400 for 1 bedroom (it's not very spacious by the way, they've been building these lottos even smaller and smaller) which is something I can barely afford, but in this economy and NY housing market, it was hard to say no.

Here are my details for the process:

Applied: 02/21/2023
Log Number: #14XX
Preferences: Community Board (Community Board 5)

Requested Documents #1: 05/12/2023
Requested Documents #2: 08/08/2023 (The email went to my spam mail and I didn't receive a text or HCNotification, so I was unaware of this)
Rejected for Not Providing Documents: 08/16/2023
Appealed: 08/16/2023

Requested Documents #3: 09/18/2023
Requested Documents #4: 09/20/2023
Requesting Documents/Answering Questions: 12/18/2023 - 01/04/2024
Signed Pre-Lease Acknowledgement, Other Documents, and Lease: 01/05/2023
Apartment Tour: 01/17/2023
Moved In: 02/01/2023

They're moving people in without providing an apartment tour, but I held off on signing the lease until I was allowed to tour the apartment. The "gym" that they talk about is literally a studio apartment with medicine balls and yoga mats, and they probably have room for 2 treadmills (if they're gonna get some). At the moment, I've heard that they only have around 55 tenants at the moment and they're trying to fill up the units now.

Honestly, they spent so much time requesting more documents and during that whole exchange, my hourly rate went up $1 and they based my "income" off the average of my most recent paystubs instead of my YTD. That really screwed me up because at the time of applying and originally submitting documents, I would've paid $930 in rent which is genuinely affordable for me. But that extra $1 bumped me into the next bracket of $1356 which I'll be living check to check with. I'm just at the very bottom of the next bracket over, and I'm not sure if I'll stay after my year lease.

But that's my experience, hopefully it helps ya'll. Let me know if you have any questions.
