Same - I would be downsizing but it’s such a great opportunity that I can’t pass it up.

1xx 1 bedroom!

How do you know what # they are up to ? It does not appear to be on mitchell lama housing connect like the other lotteries.

Someone said they do not look at assets. Not at all?

Congrats! After you fill out the application and send Penn South the fee, you will be given access to the online wait list. It's just for Penn South. Then you can see your progress. Watching a thread like this one will also help you, because people tend to post what approximate number they are and when they were called to see apartments.

And Penn South won't ask about your assets. I posted the document list (somewhat out of date) that you will be asked to provide.

Does anyone know if a First Time Home Buyer Program can be used for down payment assistance, such as the home first program?

Thanks!
I read here on the forums that some places will calculate your income as your salary plus a percentage of your assets.

I have never actually been on/through the property, but walked on the outskirts a few times. I keep reading that its a NORC (and that's a great thing!) but are there singles, couples, families just starting out?

The sale prices are much higher than they were even a few years ago, like a lot more than other mitchell lama coops

Absolutely. Several have posted on these forums and the one couple I know who live there are young marrieds who had their first child there (and upgraded to a 2-bedroom on the internal list) and are now expecting a second child and have gotten on the 3-bedroom list, which is exclusively internal.
