Actually I was helping my nephew who won the HDC lottery and was sending out feelers on the site.
It's going to be perfect for him as a starter home.

I think it looks good and that big terrace is a DREAM.

But I would not put much stock in any 800 or 900 square foot extimate. (Note particularly the bedroom dimension that is measured corner to corner diagaonally...that ALWAYS amuses me.
(Is that LR/DR dimension 13'11" or 15'11...hard to tell. My best guess with magnifying glass is 13'11")

Go into the place with a friend a long tape measure and a clipboard and measure all the interior spaces youself. You will have to be creative with that 6 sided bedroom. I think they are measuring corner to corner...a seller's tedious trick!

But with that huge terrace and total costs around $900, I think I'd spring for it.

Any utilities in the maintenence bill? If you are getting central heat and air conditioning included, it's a steal.
That easy 1 block access to both the East and West Side IRT's is a BIG plus.

Go for it.

Wow...I just saw that it was HABITAT FOR HUMANITY. I wonder if Jimmy Carter came and hammered in a few nails?

This sounds like a great opportunity. Go for it. It is so refreshing when men own real estate. It is actually kind of hot. Lol!
