Hey y'all, i'm a young french dude and my girl and I actually planned to move to new york within a couple of months. I seen theres a lot of people on city data that can be trusted when it comes to NY rough areas, thats why im here by now. Indeed, we come to visit my girl's family, she got an aunt living near the Patterson projects in Mott Haven, and another aunt livin in the Brownsville Houses (or in the area near Rockaway and Mother Gaston, maybe Tilden, i dont remember exactly btw) in Brooklyn. While we certainly gonna visit both, we dont wanna pay for the hotel, food and stuff, so its sure we gonna stay in one of the aunts apartments. My question is which of both places is the best (or the less worse if we talk sarcatic a lil bit) to rest while we in NYC?? Im talkin safety-wise in particular and transportation as well. Just in case it happens to be an important factor, i'm white and my girl she is black african. Thanks in advance.
Those options really suck man. Those are two of the most impoverished neighborhoods in New York, I don't know, maybe Mott Haven has better transportation, but I really don't know what to tell you....Those options aren't the greatest, you might want to look into a hostel or something.
Don't know much bout the Paterson projects but that area in Brownsville is about as bad as it gets. Especially going to the train. And the 3 train. I'd put Mott Haven above Brownsville solely because of transportation.
This just sounds like too much of a fake thread to be real... His girlfriend just happens to have family in the projects of the two worst neighborhoods in NYC??? A little too convenient for my taste... Does she also have family in Detroit and Compton as well... Be sure to send my regards...
