Everyone should know that the illegal activities of NYC police carry on to many other civil right violations. So even if you are anti gun, if you look the other way when your local police commit crimes, then you encourage that mental state. And that mental state will carry on to many other totally unrelated activities.

Why is it with anti-gun people always all or nothing? I don't recall anyone saying that EVERYONE should be armed. I could careless about "everyone"; I just want to be able to carry a firearm for my own protection as I am entitled to according to the US Constitution.

Thankfully, I went through hoops and have been legally carrying in NYC for about 10 years now, but many people won't, or cannot, deal with the absurd restrictions NYC places upon gun ownership.

It's funny because people in the Northeast love to pick on the South. But the most able to live without the immense technology and conveniences are people from the South. The people that spend time hunting, fishing, farming. You can talk all day about books and everything a fancy college taught you but if our technology was taken away, people wouldn't last a week.

What works for NYC does not work for the rest of the country. The right to gun ownership on the other hand is something in the Constitution regardless of where you live. I know plenty of people from Upstate want NYC detached from NYS because they constantly get lumped in. I would say that there is a possibility if you detach NYC from NYS that Upstate shows less violent crime and NYC more.

Might I add that on the list of the most dangerous for violent crime, CA is on there often (ultra liberal gun grabbers) and CT. It's not just some Southern thing. There will always be bad areas, but one bad city does not make the whole state terrible with guns. Detriot is one of the worst but there are plenty of other cities and towns that have guns and are responsible.

Your snooty attitude that the NE is some utopia because of stricter gun laws is just plain stupid. Acting like anything outside the City is uncivilized is so elitist. But I bet if there was a major issue in this country which limited food and required you to be protected by civilians you would be running to the South begging for help.

So ppl have arguments everywhere and theirs also a lot of crime everywhere. But in a place as dense as nyc it's not hard to imagine how ppl caring guns would only make things worse. I could see the headlines now. Keeping a gun in your home is fine imo but the need to have it on you everyday is wild unnecessary.

Me? This is the second time you've totally mischaracterized a quote of mine. Have you not been reading my other posts?
