Test isn't written yet which is the delay. I personally had a lengthy conversation with the gentleman that is creating the test and there are two things they are trying to accomplish

A. trying to create questions that are geared towards the job as opposed to the retard questions they've had in the past
B. making sure that it is not biased to avoid the debacle that has happened in the past ergo the last firefighter exam

When I was at FBF last month for their "feedback questionnaire" he specifically said he'll be lucky to have it finished by year's end.

I can see college credit coming into play but it isn't such a bad thing. Having educated co-workers is generally a good idea.

I agree, also the economy is bad they are trying to make the job more competitive in terms of attracting better workers I guess.

It is 16. Which can basically be one full time semester. Looks like no test this summer

hello everyone, hope all is well. I am very interested in the DSNY police division. I have a few questions regarding the position, however the internet is very limited on any info about san. police. I am hoping that there might possibly be an active sancop on this forum/thread that could assist me on my various questions. Please let me know. Thank you.

I think the new test is being delayed because there is some chiefs kid on the list and they want to make sure to get them on the job before the next test. That is just my personal opinion.
