If went to Pre Orientation & Medical last year on 8/12, FBF for CDL Training on 9/12, failed the road test but passed on my own 3 weeks later on 10/12, reported passing my CDL to HR the next day, my list # is 336X, the list is up to 2649, considering circumstances on others not qualifying (No CDL/Failed Medicals etc) or not taking his job, is it realistic to anticipate getting called? I'm roughly 71X candidates away & figured that maybe the city would want to at least regain their investment in the medical & CDL training. The only thing I'm up in the air about is the application they gave us at Pre Orientation. I believe we fill it out & have it ready upon Final Processing "IF" called or recieve some kind of email to refill it out & email it to HR. I could be wrong. Gotta call HR on that. Any feedback in advance would be helpful. I thought my # was kind of low compared to previous tests/hiring, but in actuality, it's very high considering the reality of Test #6063. It's nobodies fault but I've been following these posts & realize that it's just the nature of the budget DSNY has from the city. I would love to keep my fingers crossed, but I've lost hope & with the possible 200 hire's, I still don't cut the mustard. Even if it's 300 hire's, I'm still up in the air. It looks like I'll be taking the test again shortly.
Im not gonna tell you that u wont make it, idk, just take the new test to play it safe, theres alot of guys closer than you that feel the same way im sure, try and stay positive.............I agree i think you need 300-350 more to make it
Well here is some good news. Buddy at Q7A spoke with one of the fbf instructors today and although nothing is official there is hints they are gearing up for a class this spring
Congrats to all the people from the 9/12/11 class. FINALLY. To all the guys waiting good luck. Hope you get on quick. Very unofficial but also from FBF, supposedly a late spring or early summer class.
