you can't throw recycling and trash in the same truck. Two separate trucks with two different crews go out.
Depending on where you live one regular truck is out picking up your trash while one crew in a split body (the truck has two compartments or sides) is out picking up recycling and putting metal, glass, plastic in one side and paper in the other. In larger areas of manhattan and the bronx, three crews will go out with three regular trucks picking up just trash, just metal and just paper.
BUTTTT while I can't read your mind and I obviously do not actually know why you asked this question, i find most students ask this question for one reason in particular so I'll just add that which function you take goes by seniority. I.E. you cannot just say "i just want to pick up clean bags of metal for 22 years instead of messy garbage." Though, some places the recycling is just as dirty ........yeah i'm looking at you BK12 lol
I hope that answered your question. If not, let me know and i shall endeavor to rephrase.
Honestly I was wondering how the system worked .... Wondering if recycling pickup extended the day if the same crews had to go out with a diff truck
so after they fired the one idiot from this class, they were actually able to hire a new guy. As he now has a hire date of today, he is the lowest guy in the city.....and he seemed thrilled
