Seriously. Only things worth reading/watching for actual news are probably New York Times, Washington Post, NPR, Al Jazeera, BBC (though that's dropped a notch in recent years), Le Monde, Der Spiegel, and Southern Weekly (when the CCP isn't cracking down on them and forcing changes). Everything else is basically noise or, uh, infotainment.
I would add the Economist to your list and the Wall Street Journal (but not the opinions section..it has been taken over by Fox News pundits when Murdoch purchased it).
I am a huge proponent of Mencken’s ideal that democracy is what people vote for and they should get it good and hard, but having been a mouse in the lab of Progressive governance during Dinkins, I would not wish the same on the current population, however misguided their intentions.
