thanks! I think I have my agent to thank as he expedited everything very quickly... I agree, I heard it takes longer for those to have to get approved by the city, but when they do, their rent will be amazingly affordable!

But do disagree that paying 2509 (lease) is better than paying approximately 3300 (own) - this is for a one bedroom. Take a look at street easy, don't focus on what the ask is but rather look at the past sales tab. Citylights at 4-74 48th Ave. in Hunters Point : Sales, Rentals, Floorplans | StreetEasy I know someone that bought in this building and paid slightly under 500k, as I mentioned before, common charges are 1500. Assuming getting a mortgage is not an issue and you have 20% as a down payment, this is a much wiser move since you assume that over time property values will appreciate (and historically they always have).
The problem with City lights is the really high maintenance fees. So, although the sale price is lower, the maintenance fees are likely from 1500 - 2000 a month.

As a cook and baker it's not my ideal kitchen without drawers but that stove more than makes up for it. I have 2 drawers full of small equipment and my flatware drawer to arrange. Ideas keep popping in my head.

Loving it - thanks for asking! Waiting for the terrace to open!! So far so good. Not too many people have moved in on my floor yet, which is a little weird since I've been here for a while. But not complaining. Hoping a good coffee shop will go into the retail space below us. I'm interested to see how it will be with the entrance to the school right next to our entrance in Crossing. But, I guess we'll have to wait and see!! Are you excited to move in??

They gave me two options, I picked the bigger place, better view with walk in closet. Didn't get a choice on floor though. I've attached a few pics, first time uploading hope it goes through!

I got an email today asking for my paperwork and and interview. We only qualify for a $3300 2-bedroom, which is $800 more than we currently pay. Alas, it makes no sense for us to take it. Log # is in the high 87,000s!
