Some immigrants are considered poor as they don't report their income back home. I know many immigrants can afford million dollar homes and still enjoy all the welfares

That's what makes this country great as opposed to many others where they have points systems and essentially mostly take professionals or people of considerable net worth.

Many immigrants including the Chinese send their newborns abroad because they can't afford caretakers while both parents work - I'd say they don't take that decision lightly and I consider them to be poor if they don't have the means to keep their children with them. You can't compare these people with people who drink overpriced coffee with a $1500 laptop, iphone and who make poor spending decisions.
It's a different financial system. You ask most Asian immigrant, they have zero public debt. They don't use public credit, they have private debt which is popular in Asia.

That is why in Asia everything is cheaper because nobody pays with credit, its cash popular society.

In America, most younger folks use credit so they amass more debt and just live on whatever credit they have left. That is the American privilege of having our debts being floated by foreigners.

I bet those old ladies picking cans and bottles are debt free. Money managing skills are passed down from older generations. Some say it's in Chinese DNA just like the Jews.

Are you a Chinese supremacist or something?

No. I just have many financial savvy Chinese neighbors. I sometimes discuss with them about buying property or getting a loan. They provide good inputs.

My Chinese neighbors had to flee back to Hong Kong because the IRS showed up at their door. Literally. Also it seems when they move into a nice white neighborhood, like Bayside or Whitestone, they immediately put up steal bars on their windows because they hide cash inside the house to evade taxes. Such lovely Americans.

The collective Asian population in the US is concentrated in high wage, high cost of living metropolitan areas. The rural areas of the US will significantly lower the median income of whites. Asians still face discrimination with college admission and within the corporate sector. There recently been an outcry by other minorities on how dominate the poor Asian community has become at passing the entrance exam for NYC elite public high schools.

That's funny I live in Bayside and I don't see any steel bars. Who needs steel bars when you can just get an alarm system.

That's what I have. Maybe you should drive around a bit. Check out the Bell blvd area. It's not too bad in Bayside but Flushing and Whitestone looks like a prison these days. Damn shame. Great place to grow up in the 80s/90s. Looks like Fort Knox now.
