Comparing pizza in Italy to NY, is almost as pointless as comparing Chinese food in NY to food in China, two totally different ways of life.

The Thai food we have here is so simple compared to what I ate throughout Thailand, there's just no comparison.

My friend didn't like the pizza in Italy, as she stated its totally different, and we're just used to NY style.

At the same time, it's all personal preference, but the difference in authenticity is just day and night.

Yes, I love Rosa’s! Their Sicilian is just about perfect!

People in my neuighborhood sing high praises for DELIZIA pizza (92nd and Second) and the recycling bins tell the same story.
I am tempted to try but the $16.50 price for the plain cheese pie puts me off a bit.

I'm just going to name places I've had good pizza at:

Vinnies in Williamsburg
Rosarios on the Lower East Side
Coronet, 111 and Bway
Dona Bella, Chambers and Church

RIP:
Ciros in Dayton Plaza on Rockaway Beach Boulevard was probably the best slice of pizza I've ever tasted. I'm still mad they're closed.

I'm not sure if it's still there, but there was a place on 184th and the Grand Concourse that did jumbo slices, that pizza was on point too

LOVE Delizia. Try their grandma slice, or white slice.

I used to get a slice from Frank's pizza on 23rd , near Baruch - it was super amazing.. but they closed it down after a few decades in service.

Tried last night. Plain pizza (large) was $17 and not as good as most of the $.99/slice pizza. For some odd reason the Delizia, fresh out of the oven had a crust like leather.

First and Last time for them.
