ICE: Alleged MS-13 Gang Member Charged in Deadly 7 Train Shooting Here Illegally

QUEENS, N.Y. - Federal officials say the alleged MS-13 gang member charged in a deadly subway shooting in Queens over the weekend was in the country illegally.
According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Ramiro Gutierrez is a citizen and national of El Salvador.
ICE says it plans to take him into their custody if and when he is released from criminal custody.

Gutierrez is accused of shooting 20-year-old Abel Mosso on the 7 train platform at the 90th Street-Elmhurst Avenue station on Sunday.
Investigators believe Mosso belonged to a rival gang.
Police are searching for two more people in connection with the shooting.
Gutierrez faces murder, gang assault and weapons charges.
I won't be surprised, but ICE also lies, so I won't be surprised if it's not true, either.
Either way, undocumented immigrants have substantially lower crime rates than citizens along almost every measure.
(Do we get headlines about citizenship every time some US-born monster shoots his girlfriend? No, we don't. That's way more likely to happen to anyone than being killed by a person not here legally.)

It is more problematic when peoplrle who are here illegally commit serious crimes. And MS-13 commits a lot of crime in their strongholds. I read that in Suffolk County, anout 2/3 of the murders in 2017 were committed by MS-13.
Now I don't think we should demonize immigrants because of this, even undocumented ones, but to pretend that it's totally normal for so many non-citizen gang members to be in this country (including NY state) and commit violent crimes is silly. This issue is a weak spot for liberals.
I took the 7 train from the late 70s to early 00s and NEVER saw or heard a gunshot. The 7 line was considered one of the safest in the city for many years, and even though there were many filthy dirty low life illegal aliens on it, they were law abiding in the sense they wanted to just work and provide. It's clear that's not the case anymore, and fitting that this illegal savage had to worries about pulling out his gat steps away from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's office. mod cut
