Corporate America cares about public image and virtue signaling does happen a lot. Can't force employees to watch an HR non-skippable BS video about discrimination and allow iunno think she was a manger go unpunished. It looks hypocritical and unfortunately she went viral made national news. World was watching.

Cliché but like 99% time- a women in her position stepped on a lot of toes to get to where she is. Financial sector very cut throat patriarchal boys club. Probably made enemies no most definitely made enemies. Something like this can escalate things EZ if somebody gunning for you. Similar cases at other companies, person gets let go then rehired or it gets dragged out with an internal "investigation" that typically result nothing changed. Just a warning demotion or moved to another department. But again she went viral so her case was expedited and got axed no favors. Middle managers are dime a dozen so the Co took easy way out and cut losses. Its not fair either, but that's corporate for ya expendable. If a black person was on the board, her direct supervisor or etc. yep chances slim. If corporate America can find a reason to fire you they will.

Most financial firms are very sensitive to acts of discrimination, dishonesty, or things that affect their public image. This person violated all of those things. The company HR policies usually extend outside of the work place. If all else fails, all employment is considered at-will so they can fire her for any or no reason as long as it isn't due to discrimination (sex, race, gender, age, etc).

Her misdemeanor charge of falsely reporting an incident to police that she had dropped would have shown up on her background check making her a questionable hire in the future.

By firing her quickly, they really dodged a bullet and wound up with net positive anti-discrimination karma in the process. This is any HR + marketing dept manager's dream and nightmare all at the same time.

I think that's the worst part, she tried to weaponize the hate, prejudice and stereotypes against an innocent man. He's very lucky that it played out as it did as there's always a 5050 chance it goes very wrong in this type of situation.

Exactly. No question that she was in the wrong. There are plenty of signs in the Ramble that advise against unleashed dogs roaming around. I have zero sympathies for her. I hope she loses the case.

The best suggestion for Amy Cooper is to fight for her severance package. And she should take the rest of her money and leave the white Anglosphere entirely. Woke stuff and popularity are all in 5 main white Anglo nations aswell as English speaking parts of South Africa. She should move to a low tier Anglo nation like a Trinidad and Tobago or Belize. Or move to top Hispanosphere nation, or to the francophone where her popularity from central park won't follow her.

He by his own account threatened her dog:<img src="https://unreasonablydangerousonionrings.files.wordpress.co m/2020/05/image.png?w=510" alt="Central Park this morning: This woman's dog is tearing through the plantings in the Ramble.
ME: Ma'am, dogs in the Ramble have to be on the leash at all times. The sign is right there.
HER: The dog runs are closed. He needs his exercise.
ME: All you have to do is take him to the other side of the drive, outside the Ramble, and you can let him run off leash all you want.
HER: It's too dangerous.
ME: Look, if you're going to do what you want, I'm going to do what I want, but you're not going to like it.
HER: What's that?
ME (to the dog): Come here, puppy!
HER: He won't come to you.
ME: We'll see about that...
I pull out the dog treats I carry for just for such intransigence. I didn't even get a chance to toss any treats to the pooch before Karen scrambled to grab the dog.
HER: DON'T YOU TOUCH MY DOG!!!!!

That's when I started video recording with my iPhone, and when her inner Karen fully emerged and took a dark turn..."/>

oh I forgot about that idk if NYC law change, but when a person files a report with the police and the case gets dropped b/c well no evidence. If I'm not mistaking the record still shows up somewhere that so n so filed a police report in some background checks.

Now thats ****ed up if it still works that way, but yeah viral so wouldn't matter in her case.
