That doesn't surprise me because I knew Bay Ridge is no where near as conservative as it used to be back in the day...what with all the dozens and dozens of Arabs (some in full burka ninja style outfit) and other types walking around...it's definitely not the Bay Ridge of the 70s.

Most "conservatives" I encountered in NYC were either Eastern European or the more orthodox type Jews for religious reasons, although I would hardly call them "limited government, constitutional" types.

Then there were fiscal conservatives but extremely left wing on social issues, which really does not make sense because at the end of the day extreme leftism in social issues will come back to haunt your views on finance with activists and their pitchforks.
