lol. It may come to that. I feel for the owner of Planet Fitness. He's been ready for months now. He is sure he's met all the requirements, even has that HVAC filtration all set up. All he needs is the inspection. That's the hold up. Unless..all the gym owners rise up and push these inspections through.

Anyway..this is all moot for me because I doubt my gym has any HVAC filtration and probably won't go through the hassle of setting one up if they don't. I'm waiting to hear from them. That is if they haven't closed shop already. I think I'm going to stop by today to see if there's any kind of notice.

Heard anything from NYSC?

Who knows.

With indoor dining still prohibited in the Big Apple, bowling alleys allowed to open starting Monday in New York City can’t serve food and drinks, according to Governor Andrew M. Cuomo.

However, venue owners say it was unclear when Cuomo announced yesterday that food and drinks could be served in bowling alleys whether that included those in New York City.

“Last we heard we were able to serve food,” said Vincent D’Ambrosio, manager of Showplace Entertainment Center, Travis.

Im about to start working out at these politicians yards.
Bwhahaha. By my mom's place, I've seen groups of people taking over public parks and spaces to hold zumba/yoga/dancing classes. They all have masks on but there's not a lot of social distancing. The cops know and they don't care. See people playing basketball (some with and without masks) and you know there's no social distancing when it comes to basketball!

See, that's the thing. I've been taking this virus seriously (I don't think it's a joke) but the rules/regulations to contain the spread has been so haphazard and arbitrary. Why are big stores like Target, Best Buy, Marshalls allowed to open (I don't think they have any HVAC filtration) but malls cannot. It's such a hassle because by me, all these big stores are inside a mall so while the stores are open you have to go around this huge complex, find your way to the basement parking lot, go up the emergency stairways or take the elevator (which is packed) to get into these stores.

Why not just open up the malls & take away the benches so people don't loiter/linger? Everyone (or at least most everyone) has a mask on so I doubt opening up the malls will cause an increase in covid cases. At least open it up so you can have easy accessibility to these stores that are open in the first place! Jeesh.

And if we all have to work out in masks anyway, why insist on specifically having HVAC filtration as opposed to some other kind of ventilation/filtration. Why does it have to be HVAC?

I get the ban on indoor dining (although I've seen places violating that--shhhhh) because it's impossible to eat with a mask on but technically you are able to exercise (albeit not very comfortably) with a mask so... I don't know why they're being so hard on gyms.

I stopped in at my gym (NYSC, 91st and Third) and caught a manager and asked. He said opening next week with a max crowd of 150 (it's a big place.)

I asked about showers he said "NO."<Dammit> I forgot to ask about masks...I am presuming Mandatory.

Come ooooooon. I might still go bowling though since an alley is opening across the street from me.

So you're supposed to go to the gym, complete a good workout, get up a good sweat, then leave without taking a shower??

I used to go to that gym- that’s the one with the pool. I’m sure the pool will be closed

Told you so. I knew the showers would be closed. You can't shower with a mask on. This is getting silly.
