I hope the guidelines aren't too stringent rendering returning back to the gym useless or impractical.
We shall see.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said on Friday that the state will allow museums, aquariums and other cultural centers in New York City to reopen in the coming weeks. NYC museums can reopen on August 24.

He said the state will release reopening guidelines for gymnasiums on Monday.

Cuomo said that New York reported a positivity rate, or the total number of positive tests compared with total tests conduced, of less than 1% for seven consecutive days.

Indoor cultural institutions, aquariums, and museums in New York City can reopen on August 24, provided they adhere to a 25-percent occupancy limit, timed ticketing, pre-set staggered entry, face-covering enforcement, and controlled traffic flow.

Pending state approval: Metropolitan Museum of Art (August 29), The American Museum of Natural History (September 9), and the New-York Historical Society (September 11).

Bowling alleys can reopen on Monday, August 17 at 50-percent occupancy. Every other lane must be closed, sanitation protocols must be put in place, and masks must be worn.

I foresee a sharp increase in injuries due to people pushing themselves to the max once gyms re-open. Be careful NYC gym rats; do not over-exert yourselves. Get back into it gradually until you were at the level you were before Covid.

Will you be able to drink at the bowling alley without bowling?

What constitutes bowling? A couple of frames, a game, must it be multiple games? Oh great wise Cuomo, what does the science tell us?

He really hates restaurants and gyms.

I agree. He like to add "regulations" to things, too. I wonder if he'll require you, when you're bowling, to clean your balls a certain number of times, each game.....

If only his dad was alive? R.I.P. Mario. You were alright.

If her were still around ....

He would have had mom smack some sense into the back of Andy's head .

I agree. Andy is one self-centered, egotistical person, currently reveling in his "15 minutes of fame"....

Museums and aquariums? Yay, finally! Now if only I could get the toddler to wear a mask on the subway... we'd be at the Met in no time at all
