In Brooklyn, the homeless problem seems more recent for sure.

Finally we get a story with a happy ending. The victim and good samaritan are safe and the deranged animal that attacked them is gone. Point Gryffindor.

Maybe it is more recent then, I would take the 2 train home in the summertime, from Chambers to Flatbush, then I would take the bus home to Rockaway. But I haven't done that in about 2-3 years. I rarely saw homeless.

I used to take the 2 off peak hours when I lived on Holland Avenue. We had a lively crowd but I never felt unsafe. That changed dramatically when I moved and started taking the F train.

Well, it was the 80s....hot summer, lunatic with a big knife. We got away from him by crowding into the next car. Got away from a few "bad guys" on the F by switching cars. Another thread said those doors are locked now. I'd be dead if that were the case then. Literally. Started allowing enough time to get to work to take the bus after that and never looked back .
