Are folks in the outer boroughs getting mail delivery after the storm? No mail yesterday or so far today. Half the sidewalks here in Queens haven’t been shoveled so it would be hard to deliver even if he showed up.
Nope. Nothing yesterday nor today although I do have mail coming according to informed delivery. Oh, well. Can't blame them. Went out just now and there are still a lot of sidewalks unplowed.
I'm just hoping that it stays at 1-3 inches and no more. If it goes down to less than inch, even better.
I'm hoping a lot in the forecast changes. Even after the weekend, they are forecasting snow. It's still very early though and so can't tell. Just not something I like seeing.
Many sidewalks and most cross walks (at least in city) aren't shoveled or cleared out. Crossing street requires long legs that can stretch, skills of a ballet dancer or waterproof footwear, preferably that comes above ankles.
With so many businesses closed there's no one to shovel sidewalk in front of vacant property. LL is supposed to handle it, but good luck with that.
Meanwhile homeless are on trains and in subway system big time.
It really isn't that cold outside, just a moist snowy mess because Sam the Eagle hasn't gotten city's act together on how to clean up after a snow storm.
I shoveled snow today and had forgotten how much of a workout it is. Im more tired then after a gym visit! Snow came up easy but was dense and wet.
Thats enough snow for me this season. Theres more coming though.
Sadly that is why people drop dead or have a cardiac incident shoveling snow. It is a lot of work especially when the stuff is heavy and wet. People go out there thinking it's nothing......

Its refreshing to here things were bad in Manhattan. I was cursing the Bronx this morning when I was out for how little was shoveled.
I def did some ballet moves to get over banks of snow and slush from street to street.
