Of course it was a lot worse than that. BLACK driver (and yes her race is relevant for reasons that become obvious in the story) deliberately filmed herself live streaming over nearly 2 hours getting drunk on vodka and vaping while ranting about police brutality of Black people by men like Derek Chauvin. Then she deliberately drives drunk, hunting for a cop to run over, finds one on foot, kills him then flees the scene. While trying to escape she hits another police car and wails about how she did not mean to do it. All in all a tragic story. Although the charges should be upgraded to 1st degree murder or voluntary manslaughter given the circumstances.

Has anybody been a victim of crime themselves lately (if its so dangerous)?
You know half the people active on this forum don't even live in NYC. I'd say another quarter rarely leaves their area. Which leaves a quarter of the people who are actually out and about everyday, in different boro's, on the trains, going places, etc. And honest I think that percent is too high.

I agree. Im hoping with all the posts and events of the past year people are at least alert when outside. Im thinking not as I still see most with the face in the phone.
I have not been victimized thus far, despite traveling before dawn and late at night for work. Hope it stays that way for myself and all of us.
