If he isn't actually dying, he's certainly suffering from Alzheimer's, and that's why you don't see him in public. He's being kept out of the public view, just like Ronald Reagan was. It shouldn't come as a surprise.

It's speculation. He never came out and actually said that. People based it on an interview that a friend of his conducted, in which George kept greeting him throughout the convo. Also he would blank out after being asked questions. But yeah, I believe he has some sort of illness. He looked real bad at the all star game.
