I live in the outskirts of Jim Thorpe proper. It fits the OPS criteria. However, if employment needs factors in, NEPA is pretty economically depressed. Work is readily available in many sectors but salaries are relatively low unless you are willing to commute to Philly, parts of Jersey or NYC, as I do. It's soul sucking.

So, would you say that Jim Thorpe is a "no" then?

Since they need to work, probably. Unless they're financially comfortable with low salaries or commuting a relatively great distance. Rentals are cheap but it keeps pace with salary. Other cost of living isn't cheaper than most other places. Food, gas, utilities aren't that much cheaper than NYC I'm and i spent 35 years there .
