It is frustrating when a long time & frequent poster just becomes : "Not a member". Then I don't know if they left of their own accord, due to RL, or were banned. And we can't even message them to say Hi.

I tend to forget about members until someone brings them up.

There was a member of a nurses forum. Her last post was that her Hemoglobin was steadily dropping, and she was really scared. I think about her.

I've become familiar with a number of names on CD. I've been posting since 08. I do wonder when I no longer see their names. In fact a name I've seen for years on here hasn't posted in a year. I hate to think why. That's the sad part of websites. People disappear and we don't know what's happened to them. When they have been regulars for a number of years, and then there is an abrupt stop. It's sad but they may have passed on.

Yeah, I miss one, who stopped being a regular a few years ago. I had a history with her partly from elsewhere and we were like-minded in some ways, though usually not on good terms. I hope she's happier with life now, as improbable as that is during this terrible time in humanity.

I recognize many of the names that people mention.

PDD hasn't been around for a while. He was from New Jersey and retired to North Carolina around Southern Pines because he liked to golf. I used to talk with Mad at McCain and French Paris from the music forum.

Not all missed members are kicked off. Some leave by choice, a few die.

They're still missed whatever the reason.
