I had to harvest my friends list recently. Folks I hadn't heard from in a long time. I wonder where they went? What's more important than city-data?........

Better you than me. My fruitcake is a doorstop.

A few recent posts pondered about London Cowboy - he did mention that he was going to go on hiatus for a month or so, maybe longer - I'm sure he'll be back though, he really enjoys CD.

I've been on and off here for over ten years now, I was even a lurker for about six months before I joined as an official member.

The member I miss is Mooseketeer - she was living in GB, and was of French heritage, and we connected on different forums (Food, POC, etc). She stopped posting a few years ago. I actually tried to reach out to her by messaging her email associated with her CD profile, but I didn't get a reply.

Was anyone else in contact with her? Does anyone know how she is?

I confused Mooseketeer with Minniemouse on an earlier post.

Default Robyn55 and others that have departed.

So many times a member stops posting and we are left to wonder what happened to them. We recently learned that one of our members, Robyn55 recently passed.

So many more have just - disappeared.

Could a new subform be created here for Member Obituaries? Once it is created, a member could leave instructions behind for a family member to come online and provide a notice for the rest of us. At the very least, maybe an email address could be listed for family members to send the news of a member's passing.

Maybe after 30 days or so the account could be closed, allowing time for the family member to read condolences and respond to them.

I don't think we need a poll to see how popular the idea is, but if a MOD wanted to start one, have at it.

Oh, Robyn? Thanks for letting me know. I read her for years.

Even though I'll never meet most of them, I have friends here. I'll miss them when they're gone.
