My reply to that "All just means I'm the first."

Yes, I received that comment from the management of the apartment complex.

It is pretty much a Standard 101 response.

When I spoke to management I didn't just start of with a complaint; first I explained the situation and then offered suggestions for improvement. However, I still received the standard reply along with the deer in the headlights.

Was the issue ever rectified? No.

I love this one
I got this lots “you are the only one “ blah blah blah
More management lies
No comeback necessary
They know they are lying
Their trick is to make their problem look like your problem
Realize the truth and learn to resolve what is not your problem they don’t know how and instead blame you
Welcome to my world

Put it back on them.

"No one else is complaining"

"No one else is complaining about your store's faulty product? No wonder they keep selling then but I'm not buying"

"No one else is complaining about the damage? No wonder the problems keep happening and I have to return two items".

"No one else is complaining about the inferior products? No wonder the company keeps making them"

"No one else is complaining about the vehicle breakdowns after repairs done here? No wonder there are so many more breakdowns then...this is my second one on the same vehicle."

So what? I'm complaining now.

I've had that tried on me, and the above has been my response.

I might say after his comment:
"I know, some of us have talked about 'it'...but few actually have the personality or the confidence to just up and say something. So I am. And thanks for listening..I know it's not your fault."

(Gosh, men love to hear you are not actually blaming them! I have dealt with SO many
construction types...electricians, etc...they soften to what I'm saying immediately, then.)

"And your point is?"

"How does that fix my problem?"

"You mistake me for someone who cares about other people."

No one else has the intellectual firepower to understand the ramifications of the situation.
