Although he may never come back, I thought I'd interject a possibility.
Firehouse around me has Junior Firefighters that can start at 16 and do stuff like clean the trucks etc. Also, 18 year olds can be firefighters and they can still be in high school at that age... so the "grow up and move out" thing may not apply.
The only reason - taking the above into consideration - that I can think the OP doesn't want to tell is that his parents will make him stop working there if they know he got injured in the firehouse... let alone fighting a fire in the future.

This thread has to be the funniest thing I've read on C-D in a long time.
One person uses a wrong word (adulteress). Another points out that the word was used wrong. Then others jump on wondering why another thinks the OP is messing around. LOL
It doesn't end there. Another member wonders if the OP won't tell the parents because the OP MIGHT be a minor. Then others jump in asking who said anything about being a minor.
Errrmmm... wrong word there, buddy. Adulteress is a female adulterer... tooootally different.
There is no feminine form for adult. Grown up men and women are adults.
The OP is an adulteress AND a minor?!?! I'm dying over here!
i had to hide my knee surgey from my mom too, just because i could not afford her. she will go out and buy this and that, a lot of food clothes etc, and then expect you to pay for it. last time i got hurt it cost me thousand in stuff mama bought.
I hope he does come back and share what he thinks about our replies thus far...... (He hasnt logged in since the day this thread was created)
