I would have to side on Sundaydrive's side on this one.. Normally if two names are on the title of a vehicle and one of the owners dies, the remaining person on the title is 100% the owner. I personally went through this myself when my mother died. Both of her cars were in my and her name. My father nor any of my other family members got the cars. they were turned over into my name. Once they were in my name then I gave them to whoever wanted them since I didn't want them. I do understand the law is different in different states.. but that's the way it is here in Texas.

I hope it does work that way. My son's ex won't give me the address so I planned on taking it before a judge or a lawyer once I have the death certificate. It would be so much easier if I didn't need her signature.
