I'm glad it's ending as peacefully as possible and that you didn't get sucked into a lot of drama. It sounds as if your mother is making a wise choice in taking a break from romantic relationships.

I WANTED to stay neutral and completely out of it. But she was actively trying to get me involved in her and make me take her side. You do that to me, I going to have an opinion.
