In my experience, most super obese people cannot sit on sofas/couches. The basically sink into the furniture and have an extremely difficult time hoisting themselves up and out, even with help.

How many times are you going to ask people if they read your 49 one after another posts? YES, I DID! Your 700 pound friend isn't the only super morbidly obese person around. Notice my posts uses the word "most"????

You guys on this thread are full of it. Most 600 plus pound people are semi-bed bound. They aren't out gallivanting around and visiting people. Are there exceptions, probably, but I ain't buying it for the most part. The images search below shows them in bed and in the hospital in a pic or two, but whatever, I'm done arguing about it cause I don't give a rip about it either way.
People think I'm being irrational when I say that getting fat is one of my biggest fears. I don't think I am. This thread is scary. Thinking about being morbidly obese is terrifying. And its real. So very real.

Well, I would post pictures but I do not want to invade his privacy, even though he is gone.
Seriously, he was a pastor, he was married twice (first wife died), and he visited his flock in the hospital, preached Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night, etc. He was a great person.
I'm not saying he was out running marathons, and he did spend a lot of his time when he was at home in the bed (or his huge recliner), but he did manage to have a fairly normal life.
I've known a lot of obese people (seems to be so many these days)....one was a hairdresser who cut my hair for a while...she got the stomach surgery but was still pretty large when the smoke cleared. Anyway, I've never known anyone who ever came close to my 700-lb friend, though...
