I believe you're not getting me.
I don't care if people have FB accounts. Let them. Just don't push it on others that don't have them and/or don't want them. That's my feelings regarding FB.
I've contributed money to a particular organization and they said that in order to view pics that they have, which I would like to see, I must get on to FB.

no, honestly I did get what you were saying...and in my own way agreeing with you...you have a right to do what you want to do...regardless who agrees and who doesn't...but I did honestly understand what you were saying...and I agree with this post as well...

you had just made the comment, "I guess I have to get a FB account", and I was letting you know, it's ok not to....

thanks
Creme

Social blackmail

Will really miss out on viewing some possibly neat photos but still passing up on starting a FB account.
At one time, before FB, I guess they posted these pics and everything on their organization's webpage. Now, it's only half that I guess while the rest goes into Facebook.

You can create a facebook, add a few pics and leave it at that. I have a Facebook, but rarely if ever update it. If people ask, tell them you are not that into it. They will understand. I think it's cool to show people your vacation pics, wedding pics, etc, but telling someone what you do hour by hour is absurd. I have a lot of people from HS on my facebook, but they are about to get deleted. I didn't even talk to 90% of them back then anyway. Facebook is like a Highschool reunion that never ends. Keep it as a place for Family and (true)friends to share major events in your life.

[quote=HansProof;10653110]Does it **** you off if friends don't "FaceBook" with you? On the flip side, do you wonder why others facebook?

I don't know how many times I have been asked, "Do you have a FaceBook page?" I mean, I get asked about it A LOT! I guess it is the thing now because the women I have met always seem to ask. Is this suppose to be a man's background check?

What kind of people do you noticing using it from your past?

I've been asked many times if I'm on Facebook, or why I'm not. I really don't want to explain it over and over, so I just tell them, "Nope, not interested." But not all of my friends are on Facebook.

I like anonymity ~ don't want people finding me.
